CONCERN Database for Gaming Exclusion Orders

The new Concern database is now online and all clubs should be using the system to add their exclusion orders.

To begin using the database go to www.concern.co.nz and enter your email address which will send you link so that you can login. The system does not use passwords so you will need to sign in from the link that is emailed to you every time. The link will also expire after ten minutes.

Things to consider when purchasing a new projector

First thing to think about is the room size where you want to use it. If its not a large space, you may want to consider a LED screen mounted to the wall instead. TV screen prices have come down a lot in the past few years with The Warehouse selling 50” TVs for less than $500, and 70” for less than $1000. A TV will usually provide a better picture (and sound), especially in brighter environments, and you don’t have to worry about a separate white screen to project upon or how to mount the projector somewhere suitably distanced from the wall.

Using the CONCERN MVE Database?

The CONCERN MVE Database was launched at the end of July this year and enables venues to access to an online web portal (venue profile page) that has the option to add exclusions, accept MVEs and provide a list of all active exclusions for your venue (think much less paper and much faster process).

Leigh is up to date on adding users to the CONCERN database, so if you are still unable to login to add exclusions or to confirm exclusion requests, please contact Leigh asap so we can get this sorted.

Updating you Privacy Policy and Application form in anticipation of the new Privacy Act 2020

In anticipation of the new Privacy Act coming into force in December this year, Clubs New Zealand has reviewed the template privacy policy and template membership application form for clubs.

Club Staff Supporting Members

26 August 2020

Upper Hutt Cossie Club staff recently donated $20 each to provide 100 free meals for the Club’s elderly members. From the Club’s over 70 years membership database 50 members were drawn randomly and were delivered two meals each in late July.

The generous gesture by the staff was in appreciation of the Club’s support of staff throughout the Covid lockdown with all staff receiving 100% of their wages and none being made redundant. Previously staff had donated goods to the local Foodbank.
